Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
What are some of your favorite pass pros out of 2 backs? Slide, Gap Insert, Man, Cup? What do you tell your RBs as far as assignments? Any response is appreciated.
Being an ex-QB who was sick of getting blindsided from the backside, I have always changed up my 2 back blocking. The norm is to have the FB outprotect to his rip side and the RB to his liz. But, I have always figured that most FB's are better blockers than RB's, I just switch them up and have the FB go backside and the RB frontside.
I like slide and pulling the guards to form cup blocking (also have a hybrid scheme that includes a combo of both when running sprintout ) but when the situation really calls for max pro of the QB, I like putting a hat on everybody they bring (man). Bob is excellent also, which is ,essentially man.
