Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
Our team plans to run both ZONE and OPTION. Single Back. Does anyone else? Do you cheat your RB up @ 3 yards for OPTION(DIVE MESH) and back to 5 yards for ZONE?

EXACTLY, can't really run MIDLINE or any option with the dive back at 5 yards...
So, coaches what would be the best formation to be able to run both?

Why not just run the "I" formation? Just set your TB back further like you would if you were running zone from a single back formation. You could do a number of things with your FB. If you want to run true zone plays like out of the ACE formation you could just send your FB away from the call side.
we are going to run various forms of the I. And we will be running options as well as zone schemes. we can motion or formation the tb out of the backfield and run double options with the fb like midline and veer, and as to not create too much of a pattern, we are going to use these types of formations in the passing game. we will also motion the fb out to form ace or trey sets and now we have a zone scheme. I will agree with coach nicholson, the I is a great formation to motion from
