also, we use this same system for OZ, and IZ

Coach, so I can visualize this better, we are an I team mainly. If we were to run inside zone to the TE, who would have who? We most commonly see a 4-4. To the TE side, we would see a 3 tech., and 6i (inside shade of TE), to the weak side a 1 and a 5. The playside inside LB stacked over A gap, and the backside inside LB stacked over B gap. If this isn't compatible with your base set, maybe give me an example of something you see more. Thanks!

against a 6i or a 7 is what we call him, then the te and the psot would combo him up to the pslb, the guard would reach the three by himself, out of the I the fb would go take the force
the center and the bsg would then work the A gap guy up to the bslb, if we have no te backside, then the bsot sifts the bsde up to the willie hanging out there (depending on what the 5 tech does
the fb off the edge makes it look like stretch, and the tailback just reads the playside guard area on the IZ

on the OZ, the blocking is the same, and the tb then just reads the te area to see how that combo is working,

for this stuff to work, it is imperative for no linebackers to be allowed to come underneath, we four hands and four eyes it to the bslb, if he comes underneath at all, the bsol on the combo comes off now and takes him right there, We never get on them if they miss or don't get off to the linebacker over the top, as he can run himself out of the play (especially on IZ), we call it when we see this happening, one guy in the box to just watch lb flow, we always get on them if they let someone underneath though, as that guy can get up in the backfield and mess the play up before it has a chance to go

most of the time when we ran this stuff, we were in two te, and occasionally brought the fb in as an offset,

one te I is not really what we would want to do, as we would prefer to have double teams all the way across, that's why we go two te, oneback, then bring the fb or wr over to block the force, with the counter off of that back the other way as they overadjust,, this way we get to pick where we want to run it based on how they are lined up, up front, this allows our subpar athletes at ol to get some movement vertically creating vertical seams to run through, the cutbacks for the back are not as simple as the more traditional OZ, and IZ, as sometimes they are just vertical pockets within the structure of the defense as opposed to the horizontal seams that the more traditional zone rotating up to the pslb gives

it takes a back with some patience and ability to see this stuff, some reps to trust that they will be there, and a lot of jumpcuts within the trash to get out, but it is a safer play than having our ol try and chase down a linebacker, or try and reach a shade on his own,, it allows us to be physical at the point of attack with double teams

I am at a new school now, where we don't run the oneback, two te stuff, OZ, IZ anymore

but the basics of the POBA rules are integrated within a lot of the things we do, especially within the GCG area for the inside runs, and our power stuff

we use POBA for our gun zone t play all the way across, it leaves the pslb unblocked out of doubles gun, no TE, so we pull the bsot through for the pslb, we call it zone t, we then either read the end like a traditional zone read, or counter gt read, or send the back to block the bsde, and just have the qb run it
