Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
We use it in our warm-up curcuit performing jump squats with zero to low weight. Other than that it collects dust. Our basketball coach put it in their a couple of years ago and proclaimed all kids will dunk if they use this machine!! I almost fell over laughing.

That Basketball coach must have been out without a jacket in one of y'alls famous blizzards up there! Also, probably didn't have a hat on and went into the "BRAIN FREEZE" mode!!! HHEHE
We had a team picnic last Sunday and the guys all wanted to play basketball on the park court, of course. I have lost way to many good football players to the basketball court and the "broken ankle syndrome" as I call it. But, I let them relax and have a good day without my being their coach and just enjoying the picnic like everybody else. They played for 2 hours non stop and I was watching every second expecting a turned ankle all the way! But, we made it through unscathed and I was elated, to myself of course. Once coached at a HS that won the state 4-AAAA Basketball championship with a bunch of Juniors and the next football season the same kids gave us the state championship in football! Talk about athletes!!!

When I took my dog out this morning we had snow flurries!!! It was flat out cold here today for May 12th!! It is opening fishing season this weekend and with the weather forcast, I think my line will stay dry this weekend. They are talking 40 mph winds on Saturday with a high of 50.
It is amazing what you can do with athletes tiger. It is every coaches dream to get that one group of kids who play 2-3 sports and do it together.
Keep us updated on the season and the team tiger.

It ALWAYS comes down to the players, not the coaching. THEY DO MAKE THE DIFFERENCE. That particular team had been together since 1st grade, with only a few new comers along the way. Played all the rec teams together, base ball, basketball, football. YOU CAN'T BEAT CONTINUITY!!!
What would you have been fishing for if the weather was good this weekend? Pike, Wall eye, Bass, lunge? You know I will be sure and let you know how we do as we go along. Can't wait until the 21st!!!

We were going out fishing for walleye. I may take my son fishing off of a dock at a friends cabin and see if he can catch some pan fish. They say your not a Minnesotan if you don't fish the opener so I better find a way to take my son fishing.

I caught my first bass off a dock with a cane pole and a cricket when I was 4 years old. Been hooked ever since! Have fished all over the country, love the western trout streams! Once caught a 38 inch Great Northern Pike on a dead minnow while fishing for pan fish! Early in spring in Florida, we fish bass with wild golden shiners that weigh up to a pound and are 10-12 inches long or more. I always put one out to let him work, but I love to throw plastic worms. Only use a handful of plugs that are my favorites, but my tackle box is loaded with Mann jelly worms, Culprits, Bagley's, you name it. I have worms from 2 inches to 18 inches long, curly tails, flat tails, no tails! My favorite color is grape or dark anything! I have caught Bass all over the south, the west, the north, the east. But, IMO, there is nothing that comes close to Florida for large mouth Bass. I love to fly fish for trout as well, and when I want to eat some fish, (I catch and release) I go cat fishing. Maybe we can get together some day for a combined Pheasant hunt and fishing trip.

Coachjd - Where do you coach in Minneapolis? It is possible that I would be moving to the Burnsville / Minneapolis area after next year. What is the coaching and teaching situation like up there?
No I do not live in the twin cities/metro area. I live outstate. The state of Minnesota has some finacial issues going on right now and funding for education is very tough in most parts of the state. What area do you teach? From what I am hearing social studies and phyed are few and far between. Have heard as many as 300+ applications for a social studies job at an area school!!! Math, Science, English, special ed, and male elem ed teachers seem to always be open.
Coaching in the twin cities should be no problem. They play good football and there seems to be somewhat of an arms race going on right now with facilities, etc.... More and more schools in the twin cities are going to field turf game and practice fields. Putting bubbles over the practice fields for year around 7 on 7 leagues, speed training etc....
Pay and retirement in Minnesota is very good. I would guess top 15 nation wide??? I teach and coach at a school that graduates 160+ per year and if you have a masters degree + 45 grad credits and 12 years experience, our school pays 63,000 per year not counting any coaching. Our head football coach, coaches 2 sports and has been here for 31 years and he makes over 73,000 per year.
Let me know if you have any more questions. I will help in any way. You can email me at jetsweep78@hotmail.com

The weather in minnesota is to keep the riff raff out. Can you believe we had 80 deg days in April and now we have snow flurries in mid May!! We are supposed to get temps back into the mid 70's next week.

JD - I had a typo there, I meant where do you teach in Minnesota, but you answered my ?s. Thanks for the info. I currently teach HS math. Also certified for PE and el ed. The pay sounds good. I'm not too fired up about 10 degrees colder, but I could deal with it. What is average pay for 5 years experience teaching with no grad hours yet? I know that varies from school to school a little bit.
I would guess the avg. salary would be in the mid 30's. At our school your salary will freeze if you don't continue with grad credits. We have a JH football coach who has been here for 15-18 years and he is frozen in lane 1 at 8 years experience because he refuses to take grad credits.

we have two of the Bear and Bulldog machines. we try to get 2-3 sets of 20 reps during the school year. during the summer we do 3 x 10 at each. we like them for the explosiveness of the workout. the kids get another ground based exercise that works on hip explosion. the Bulldogs also work on hand separation along with the hip explosion. alot of schools in east texas, north louisiana, and south louisiana use these machines.
