Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
Coach our base two plays are the triple and midline option. We tell our qb that we would like to run the triple to an open b gap and mid to the 3t. our base formation is a tight end wing to tight side and a slot and x wr to the open side. we count every play and look for a 2 or 3 count when running the triple. if we get a 2 count the pshb seals the lb to fs, vs three count we either arc or we can seal the lber. My question is how much latitude do you give your qb? Also out of this set what option would you run to the te side other than the mid?

Coach I teach or quarterbacks an "Option-On-Me" approach to put our offense in best option. because of the other things I like to do with the gun and spread offenses I limit the QB to midline, inside veer, and load options based upon outside inverts. I only run inside veer to an openside, midline and load towards the tight end. This is an easy concept to install and always keeps your offensive line in best blocking senerios. Coach CAmpbell
Coach, we were predominately a option football team last year, but i think this year we will be using more variation in our offensive scheme. I like your option on me and incorporating the I offense with the option. What do you do if you are at a school that you majority of the time do not have dominant lineman? We get good athletes but our lineman are usually 5-8-6-0 210-250 if that. Will you be down in Irvine this year?

Coach considering your situation you might like to compliment your option game from under center with the option game from the Gun. The gun would be installed using both two and one back plays. Coach CAmpbell
We are strongly considering adding 2-back and 1-back gun packages to our spread scheme. Really would like to get into this heavy with you at some point...will you be at the Glazier Clinic in Dallas again this year?? Either or, I'm still interested in your CD and manual on the gun package. Am particularly interested in running inside veer out of the gun...can't quite grasp how you'd do it...anyway, look forward to possibly getting with you at some point. pdow
Coaches, We are a predominately option football team running midline and inside veer. We use Coach Campbell's Option on Me. It is like having a 12th player on the field. Next year we also want to be able to use 1 and 2 back gun and run a check with me system. I think it would be beneficial going from wishbone into 1 or 2 back gun. Looking forward to talking to you Coach Campbell!!!!
