Double Slot Question

Lets just put it this way. After several years of our school running the I formation, we became dismayed after having to constantly look for O-linemen that could man up and one with decent hands to play TE. The straw that broke the camels back was after getting beat in a non-league game 80+ to 0. We went in search of something differnet that no one had seen in our area before. We found the Spread (aka double slot) and went to 2 championship games (winning 1) in 3 years. Our league was not ready for the aerial attack we brought and even to this day they are having to play catch up to our adjustments.

The double slot works well because it is a balanced formation. I really see this as the wave of the future, because you cannot predict where the play is going and it is so easy in which to run the option. The wing-t can be run out of this as well-- the 20 and 30 series, especially. The jet series works well with the double slot, because teams usually don't have time to adjust to the motion.
