Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
I was watching the presentation by the Texans O-line coach and I saw an intersting play where they blocked their outside zone by having the fullback on the Mike and the center backside guard work the shade to the Will (over front). guard alone on 3 and TE and tackle work 7 to Sam. He sounded like it was just a change up. It worked well because it was a 2 deep look but I don't think it would work if the strong saftey came down.
Did he explain what his reasoning was for doing it that way?
I watched the clinic tape .... Was this play during the training camp or during game film? If it was training camp then the play was going to the left and they were running outside zone...to the playside was a 9,5 and a 1...I think that there was a line call between the center and the guard because of the wide five ...So they doubled to the mike..It may have looked as if the FB was leading on the Mike but he just cut it back based on the five widening during the play
You are either coaching it or allowing it to happen!</blockquote>
