Coaches,

I've read some about flexing the TE in various situations. I have two questions regarding this.

1. What are the defensive adjustments you are looking or hoping for when you flex your TE?

2. What rushing plays or schemes do you use to take advantage of these adjustments?

It makes it easier for us to see who is coming on blitz.

I have done it just to see what type of positioning the DE will play. If we Flex a little and he stays out with the Y than we can & will run our Toss underneath him (makes it an easy block for the fullback). If the DE does not go out with the Y, & he stays in the gap between the Y & the OT, we will work on our outside game (Sweep & Option).
