Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
Next year I would like to make fundamentals a HUGE focus of the program I am taking over. Things like Blocking, Tackling, and Pursuit really are irrespective of talent - and something we can control (because we can't always control what the opposition does).
I searched online for a Blocking Circuit for offense, apparently Georgia has developed a circuit for all positions, but I am a LONG LONG way from Georgia. Has anyone seen them practice or do a circuit similar to this?
Alternately... what specific drills do you think should be included for ALL positions to develop blocking fundamentals.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've thought about calling the football office at Georgia as well... but figured they might not be too interested in helping a small-time coach from the Great White North.
I spoke to Coach Neil Campbell from Georgia and he was very helpful. They have three stations they use. 1. Drive 2 man sled. 2. Block on boards 3. Backs - pass protect, WR fit, stalk, and crack, OL Goal line situation.
Coach Callaway went into much more detail and was very helpful. Don't hesitate to give him call.
Excellent Choice.
