This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
Just had a broad question regarding handling MR student athletes in your program.
We've always had at least one a year, and usually got them in the game at some point, or they would relegate themselves to managerial duties.
We have one this year, that comes to everything, hasn't a lick of athletic ability, is built like a lineman but insists he's a corner and he MUST start......
We've gone over his 'situation' with him ("hey, they'll be a better opportunity for you to help the team on the line..."), but it appears that his parents just seem to drop him at our doorstep whenever they get the chance as a sort of 'free babysitter'....
I suppose the question would be
"How do you handle Mentally Retarded athletes in your program, who really shouldn't be starting, but who show up everyday"?
I take it that when you say mentally retarded you are refering to players who dont have a athletic bone in thier body, or those who cannot comprehend more than one play in a week? Depending one the program you are with.. why would you allow non athletic students on the team to begin with? If you are with a high school then cutting would be an option, keep in mind that cutting a kid has its down side! If you are with a youth program, your franchise should have a safety clause in thier by-laws, some times you have to do the dirty work and explain to the parents. As for the parents who drop the player off.. again it comes back to your franchise, they absolutely should not allow this to go on (safety reasons) State this to your parents after a practice. It really should be in a parent hand book.

or you can keep the kid around to help with the team, i know most of you have seen Radio before, so i dont want to make it sound like that, but there are things you can keep kids around for, help with off the field things during practice and games, cause you have to remember SAFETY is a huge thing here.
