Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
Our best running plays are trap & a counter scheme. We find that teams that run the 3-3 stack or similar defenses with 4i techniques mess with our rules on those plays. What you guys do with the 4i's, especially if your offensive tackle isn't better than the 4i? Can you run these plays vs. this look or do you go to something else?
We would run the Dart play (Tackle Lead) vs a 4I. The toughest part of the play may be the playside OT and what to do with the 4I on him. You could either trap the playside 4I with the pulling BS OT or you can base or downblock the PS 4I. PS Guard and center combo to middle stack, BS OG blocks back on 4I for pulling OT. If you trap the PS 4I or you can lead the BS OT up to the OLB. QB must read the C gap defender on the backside. With a 4I then the read would be the BS OLB in the 3-3 stack.
I kinda went all over the place with this but I hope it helps.

You can loop block to the LB with your Tackle. We did this twice last season & had some success. You might also be able to down block the 4i and kick out the next man outside. Hope this helps.
