Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
Counter gap I would consider my selection by the type of footwork That I like to teach my offensive line. Each play is good, teach to your understanding of the play. I like the outside zone which is known as a stretch play. I have in the trenches teach our younger kids the freshman both plays. This gets them started on the learning of a vertical push along with a stretch zone scheme. By having Coach Pastrick teach both scheme to our younger kids helps prepare them fot the offensive system. I like both schemes and think your offensive line can handle both. The next key is the deliver of the ball by the QB to the running back. The inside zone the QB takes straight back and for the stretch or outside zone he takes it to his back wider. The running back incorporates a drop step when the ball is snapped so that the Qb CAN GET THE BALL TO THE BACK TO THE RUNNING BACK AS DEEP AS POSSIBLE. Coach CAmpbell
