This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
we run a 4-4 that has wide olb's and we play ends in 7's and 5's depending on TE. what do some other forty teams do against single wing, we play a team in 2 weeks that are basically double tight unbalanced or a split away from unbalanced side. they like sweep, power, bucksweep, trap, and counter.
I don't run a forty but I'll tell what I do versus an unbalanced single wing offense. I tell my guys to find the center of the line. Not the center but the most middle olineman. We bring down a lb about a yard off the line over the wingback. Then we shift the line and get guys in gaps. I will slant a lot. very little blitzing. play a cover 3 but tell your end guys to read the man in front of them. If they release for pass, they drop to the flats. If the end blocks down, they sit and look for puller and blow up the counter. It ends up looking like a 6-2.
