Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
We are a Flexbone team, but like to run some Power/Lead plays as well.
I would like to put in some what I would term; "Fold" blocking schemes to allow our OT to block down on a "B" gap player and have the Guard fold around him to pick up the PSLB for our off tackle plays. We currently ask the guard (when uncovered) to get the PSLB on a off tackle play, but his angle almost prevents this from happening.
Anyway, I would like to know what "Rules" you teach the OL so that they can use this scheme.
The blocker that is going down will key and aim for the near hip of the down defender. The puller or fold blocker will drop step and stay tight off of the butt of the OL that is down blocking. The folder needs to stay tight so he can inside out the Lber if the lber would try to run through on the down block. If the defense is stunting and blitzing the fold scheme can be too slow to pick up the blitzing Lber.
Good luck.

Guys on other sites I read a lot about a 'GT' play. Is this fold block the same thing, or do you think they are talking about a counter trey-type play (with the backside G and T pulling)?
