our base defense, is a 4-2-5 we will play a 6, or 7 to the t.e. a 3, and1 and 5 on backside. with variations of our fronts to change. we are currently 6-3 and placed in "you win your in" situation any help would be appreciated..
- foot to foot, don't be too proud to submarine
- Pro I, they're going to go BOB in pass pro, work line stunts & twists to get them on their heels
- Protect your WLB from Iso by playing the nose in a G (2i)
- Cheat your WLB to the LOS to help combat the Weak Iso.
- play an Under front - roll your SOLB in a 9 tech, your 3 tech to a 1, your 1 tech to a 3.
- If they are always playing pro I - ROLL coverage to the numbers (TE + FL) to get defenders to the point of attack.
- If you have speed, force them to spill it outside, play cover 2 and plug B to B gaps with DLine.
- Teach the LBs run-thrus, get them attacking upfield into the backfield - stay aggressive.
- If you are a cover 3 team originally, you could try to incorporate a little Va.Tech "Robber" depending on how decent your FS is (get 9 in the box).
