Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
When running the inside zone and stretch play from the gun, does anything change for the backs or linemen? Does the QB just openstep to let the back get by for the inside zone so he can hit it full speed?

Coach the offensive line will use the same footwork as if the quarterback was under center. If you are going to read the backside you want your tackle away from the play either pulling or releasing inside so that the QB can read the 5 tech. For the backs they always align opposite the side they are running to because they need to come in front of the quarterback. Coach CAmpbell

Stick - if you run the stretch from the gun the running back will come across the front of the QB with his aiming point at the inside hip of the callside tackle, if its the inside zone the running back will dropstep and arc coming along side the QB to receive the ride from the QB. The dropstep helps square the running backs shoulders to the line of scrimmage. The Inside zone is good when the backside end is playing the QB and the stretch is better when the backside end is playing the running back. Coach CAmpbell
That's what I thought Coach but want to be clear to the last detail. In the stretch, will the RB's shoulder's be perpendicular to the sideline when he's recieving the hand off?
