1889 - First All-American Team Choosen

In 1889, Walter CAmp along with Caspar Whitney picks the first all-american team. Eventually Walter Camp picked the teams himself, and to be named to a Walter CAmp All-American team was the highest honor and distinction to which any American football player could aspire.
