Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
Would like to get some ideas on what some of you coaches do with your kids from the time school gets out until kick-off that evening. We travel to all our games and we would like to try and take the jv and varsity together this year.

Coach nice to have coming to our site. This is a good topic for discussion and look forward to sharing some of my thoughts and ideas with you. Would like to know a little more about you taking JV and Varsity together. Coach CAmpbell
here is what we do: A. Home Games: We keep our varsity players ( off. , def., and special teams ) at the field house. our school lets out at 3:20. we expect our kids to be on time. At 3:30 we feed them a pre-game meal from sonic. 3:50 to 4:10 defensive walk thru. offensive walk thru and special teams walk thru is done in pe. 4:10 to 5: 30 is down time. 5:30 we start taping. at that same time our jv players show up. B. Away Games: Varsity on the good bus. and the jv on the other bus. we feed all of the kids. and we do the defensive walk thru at their stadium.

Our JV and Varsity are together. At 1:30 our ath. period befins and we have a team mass. At 2:30 we go over special teams and head coach speaks to team. AT 3:30 We have a meal that are cafeteria provides. At 4:00 we separate by positions and go into classrooms for chalk tlak and down time. At 5:15 we head back to the locker room. At 5:50 our special teams go out on field. AT 6:00 our QB/WR/RB go through passing lines., 6:10 we do an eight play 7 on 7. 6:15 our entire team comes out and we go through agility lines and team strecth an individual drills. We run Team "O" vs air, and Team "D" pursuit vs air. This is for a 7:00 kick-off.
Coach Weiner what time do your jv's play? Ours play at 4 and then the varsity goes at 7:00. We want to coach both levels together because of a lack of coaches. Do you practice together also? If so I would like to get some ideas on how you run practice. Thanks sfalco
coach campbell, I coach in California. Both the varsity and jv's play on Friday nights. Jv at 4 and varsity at 7. We do not have a home field and our "home" games are spread amoung 3 "district" fields. So we bus to every game.
Coach our JV and Varsity combined is about 80-90 players. Our JV games have been on Mondays usually around 6:00 pm. We consider everbody on the Varsity team. During JV games we play anybody that is not a senior and is not a Varsity contributor. We may not large enough numbers where combining the two squads into one becomes a problem.
