16 balls to each game. 4 per quarter. managers use hair dryers at half time to dry balls.

also, practice all season 1 day per week throwing wetted balls and coaching wetted balls.

when cold, we bring a heater and we warm the balls.

Last year, I started packing footballs in those plastic zippered bags that pillows and heavy blankets come in. They are perfect and can hold lots of balls.

The other thing we bring is a big Rubbermaid tub that we store extra balls in.

What REALLY p*sses me off is when we get an official who ABSOLUTELY refuses to allow us to check a new ball in for each series. I know that it is in the rules that you can do that, but some officials simply will not let you.

has anyone tried the "dimple" balls that have the leather grain reversed? Instead of a normal"pimple" ball the bumps go inward. We had some about 7 years ago, but that was at a different school and i haven't seen them since.
