Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
This may seem like a stupid question but I have a concern about running the inside zone out of a
Off-set I, 3 receiver set. I'm worried about penetration from the back side. If anyone has a suggestion on the best way to do this it would be much appreciated.
You have to control the BS/DE with the threat of (or the actual) QB keeper. Get Alex Gibbs' video & see how he did it with ELWAY & Broncos. It is a pass/run option by the QB. Cannot be more specific via typing!
Can also run a fake reverse to a WR to keep BS/DE honest, & give it to him if he ignors it.
there are a bunch of ways to control the backside end one is with the Boot pass-Alex Gibbs...Reverse and Fake reverse is another... block him with the Fullback...
All good solid suggestions from above coaches. Just make sure, whatever man you choose to block him with make sure you get a helmet on him at all costs. Having played Qb, I just never was sold on fakes keeping that guy off my back!
