This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
Hey all,
I've just recieved an OC position at my former highschool, and this will be my first highschool coaching Gig and I was wondering what you all thought were some good Spread formations to use vs the 4-4 (Cov. 1 and 3) and the 4-3. (Cov. 2 man and Zone)
basically I've done my homework on each team in the conference we play in. We'll see mostly 4-4 Cov. 3 stuff. We're a Class 6A large school and most of the teams we play are run stop oriented and we kind of lack in size but we have great speed A Good QB & RB tandem and some decent WR's and that's why the HC went to this style of Off. they ran it last season with some success but a 3-7 Record is well not par. we have a good mix of Single Back formations :
- Bunch
- Trips
- Trey
- DBL Slot
- Unbalanced
- 5 wide
- DBL TE
just to list a few.
Our runs: Inside,Outside Zone; Counter zone; QB,RB Traps; Read, Speed, Shovel opt.; Stretch; Dive
Our Passes: Combo route packages; Smash; Mesh; etc.
but I'm not sure what will work best against the Fronts I said, I know it depends on what I will face but I'm not sure where I should start. So coaches all input and suggestions are most welcome. Thanks
