I just bought a video by Ron West on the shotgun snap. At Clemson, they really snap it fast. I know some use the floater snap. What are you coaches using that are using the gun offense and why. And, I like to know the technique of each so that a decision can be make. Thanks for your input!

COACH,

Unequivically, use the zip method! I have run an empty gun, as you know, for an awfully long time, and feel qualified to tell you that a floater snap is useless as spitting in the wind!!! All it does is give the D time to beat the snap to the QB!!! Absolutely useless, in my opinion!!! if you don't have center who can get it back there in a neat spiral in .02 of a second, forget the gun!
