question for coaches running the no huddle spread. I am looking for some simple concepts for calling plays from the sidelines without the use of wristbands. I've attended some clinics and have some ideas in mind but I'd like to hear from sokme HS coaches. Thanks
We named all are runs animals. Zone - Zebra ; Counter - Cougar, and so on. Are pass route combos were cities Chicago was curl/flat. Our 3 step was weather Hail (hitch). etc. We also used directional words to tell wether it would go right or left.
An example would be
Dime Zebra
Bill Houston
Dollar Snow
A good book is Gus Malhzan Coaching the No Huddle Offense.

The only other solution that I know of if you are not going to be using wristbands is you need code words for all of your plays. You will be dealing with more verbage. The other way to go is to use hand signals. Maybe you use a combination of both hand signals and verbage.
