Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
anybody run a boot off of the counter trey from any formation (preferably 4 WR gun). Do you run it naked with G and T pulling away from boot action or... what's your blocking scheme for it? Any help is appreciated.
I have used it both as a "naked", & with a G out in front. Miami used to run it from, "TRIPS" with the inside most of the 3 receivers blocking the EMLOS if he came upfield (with pullers going opposite the QB with the fake).
Yes, we had huge success with it last year. We called it p. 26. We would pull both left gaurd and tackle to the 26 side, while everyone was blocking down on the right (counter blocking). Qb would open left, Rb would take two steps to the left (like stretch left) and cutback to the 26 call (find butt of pulling tackle). Qb and RB mesh and then Qb continues to the 27 side in a fish hook pattern. That provides him the room and angle(body momentum) to execute a throw against a cautious, upfield DE.
We love running it out of two back to slip a FB in the flats now. If that is covered, we have a BS TE dragging across at 10-15.
We have used it from a variety of formations. Two-back, two-back with 2 TE's, one-back with 2 TE's, one-back with 1 TE, and one-back with 0 TE's. It has been a very consistent pass for us, particularly in first-and-ten, and third and 3-4.
