Yes we block them the same. The things that change when in the gone is the RB's track. Veer straight at the playside G and cut off of his block.
Midline-the RB's track is to the backside foot of the center and cut off of his block.
With the gun mid-line, the back tracks to the far A gap. Block the same on the keep side as you would from under center. We like to fold the TE as the insert player for the QB. We run it like the zone read with mid-line on the backside for the keep. On the veer, the only rule that is different is on the backside. Your BST and BSG have to block man on instead of scooping or else the DE will chase the QB down. The frontside of the veer with reads is all the same.
