We have one at the school I coach at and it is a huge help. Eliminates the thinking of what we need. Just look at the list.
Water Buckets (filled)
Water Bottles (filled)
Bucket of dry towels
Cooler of ice
Ice bags
Helmet repair kit
2 screwdrivers and 2 pliers
Medical kit
Headphones (check before leaving school)
Ballbag (at leat 6 balls, 2 game balls)
Extra jerseys
Camera
Extra battery for camera
2 tapes
We check this list off as we load the stuff into the van we use to carry our equipment before we leave for the game and before we leave the game for home. I may have missed a few things, I'm donig this from memory b/c I don't have a list in front of me. I hope this helps.

I HAVE ALWAYS PROVIDED THE PUBLIC ADDRESS ANNOUNCERS, BOTH STADIUM AND MEDIA, WITH PROFESSIONALLY PREPARED STARTING LINEUPS FOR BOTH SIDES OF THE BALL. I ALWAYS HAVE IT TAKEN TO THE BOOTH BY ONE OF THE TEAM MANAGERS WHO IS RESPONSIBLE AND SEES TO IT THAT IT IS IN THEIR HANDS AT LEAST 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO KICKOFF. IF WE HAVE A PLAYER WHO'S NAME IS DIFFICULT OR QUESTIONABLE TO PRONOUNCE, I ALWAYS MAKE SURE THE CORRECT PRONOUNCEMENT IS GIVEN TO THE ANNOUNCERS BY THE TEAM MANAGER.
In addition, I always furnish them with a COMPLETE roster that includes the correct jersey number that will be worn by that player for that game. One of my personal pet peeves has always been to be listening to a game on the radio and hear the announcer say: "That play was made by # 33 who's name I do not have".
Also included in any equipment is a bag of STAY DRY in case we get caught in a rainy situation!
I always make certain we have extra acetate covers for clipboard sheets in case of rain!
Also, my managers are instructed to make certain we have extra bottles or two of ammonia for towels during the hot night games,as well as, extra isotonic drink mix and PLENTY OF 50 LB. BAGS OF ICE!

also, some shoulder pad clips, and straps. Also some shoe laces, spare cleats and a tightener are useful. Extra mouthgaurds. Plenty of wipeboard markers.
