Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
Anyone here going to this clinic may 19-20....I am and it sounds like it will be good. I am also going to take our QBs to Coach Slack's camp in Fort Cambell KY....looking forward to that as well.
Anxious to here anyone's thoughts on Tony Wise's presentation on the zone counter. Especially thoughts on the quick call to send the uncovered directly to the LB. As well as the "brace" block that he mentioned to help the line maintain width. I personally enjoyed this year's clinic more than last year's.
To get something you have never had before, you must do something you have never done before
I would definitely recommend purchasing Tony Wise's presentation on the zone counter. Juan Castillo's was good as well, but shorter because he had to catch a flight back to Philadelphia and that was on pass pro techniques. Because he had to leave early Bob Wiley did a short presentation on a play that they call "Twin." It stood for tackle on will. It was a counter play where the back side (strong side) tackle would pull and lead up on the will backer with the fullback replacing him. So I assume that they are going to marry those to presentations. Those were the two that I thought were the best. If you wanted to put in a new protection scheme Andy Heck was good also. As convoluted as that was I hope it somewhat helps.
Just my opinion though.

I thought Juan Castillo's talk was excellent. I often find fundamental technique stuff more valuable and interesting than schemes as a HS coach, so I liked last year a bit better but still LOVED the clinic.
Perhaps next year it would be nice to meet some of you guys. I was the guy in the navy shirt with the orange bronco's hat on.
Bob Wylie's little bit on the TWIN play was really useful to me. I'll be using an offset FB next year quite a bit, and wanted a play to complement the Toss - it'll allow me to run the trap from the offset and pull the tackle.
I also thought Bill Muir's presentation was good on the Toss play - he covered it well and how to run it out of different formations.
Down Down tackle and either guard and center around depending on the front....Y or H down ...crack by x or z with motion....Just like I know oneback likes to do it...or at least how we did it at Matoaca when I was there.
What I thought was good was how they'll do it from different formations/motions... yet the rules basically stayed the same except if they were in a 3x1.
