Anyone here run the I Formation and incorporate the Rocket Toss concept?
I have seen the "Quick Pitch" out of Split Backs and I am looking for a way o run the Rocket from the I, with the FB going backside and the frontside OL pulling or reaching for second level. Would you also crack the overhang? Any help would be appreciated.
I might be able to help because we run primarily I. I'm just not sure what you are asking because of terminology differences. Could you explain a little more? We run Sweep, Jet, and Rocket.
Excellent Choice.

If you are running Rocket from the I...Similar to Navy, Springfield College, Air Force...How do you block it and do you modify the backs (motion)...Thanks...
We run it primarily to a slot that is brought in motion. If we have two backs in the backfield they fake option away from the play. We have also ran it with our TB but he doesn't get to full speed. It is more of a shuffle motion. We don't get the speed advantage but we do get him outside before the snap.
