Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
Hello Coach Campbell, inthetrenches, and all of you other fine prognosticators of football wisdom...
I am a regular visitor here and come across innumerable "X's and O's" gems every time I view these postings, so let me ask for some clarificaion on a subject or two. We (Coach Graesser and I...howdy Markus!) have recently installed an inside zone run game. We are very pleased with the results so far and are now trying to put in an outside zone or stretch. My first question is about the LB'ers and the importance of allowing them to "come to us". Is it imperative that we allow the backers to come to the 1st level or, if we have an uncovered lineman, should we go ahead and fire out and seal them in the 2nd level? Will this limit our cutback lanes? I have heard different thoughts on this and would like you other coach's opinions. Thanks in advance!

Coach when pushing your zone schemes I would suggest that you allow the LBers to come to you, have the patience to teach your players to stay on their combos. Coach Campbell
