Defending Triple Option with the 40

I run a DALLAS 42 (4-2-5) that features twin safties (we call them TIGER BACKS) who align at 3 yds off the LOS and 5 yds wide. They have 3 assignments on every play: Contain on the sweeps, pitch on the option, flats on the pass. Verses outside veer, DE has QB, SAM LB has dive back with Mike scraping in case they arc release TE to SAM, Tiger Back has pitch.

When defending any option, at least in my experience, I have always left the backside end right where he is and he plays a DISCIPLINED 5 TECH. I never look for the backside to make a tackle verses the OSV going away from them, but to stay home and maintain the defensive integrity of the open side in the event of a reverese, with the will backer holding responsibility of any cutbacks inside. Just my way perhaps, but I don't think so.
