Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
IZ v’s 4-4. I’ve read that you should run IZ at the 1(shade) tech. From a 2 TE, 1 back set, what are my double-teams if they leave the DE in a 5 tech and play the OLB tighter like a 9. If I leave him he’ll crash and make the play in my opinion. Having the QB read him & pull and keep playside ain’t an option (no pun intented!) for us as it’s not in our limited range of abilities. We practice for 4 hours a week and while our QB is quite smart and has our best arm, he’s a big old lump and that would end in disaster. He doesn’t have the foot speed.
Should we single the shade with the C; the OLB with the TE and zone the 5 tech DE and 30 tech ILB? If we are zoning backside with the G and T on the 3 tech and 10 ILB should we really look to cut-back behind all this. I’m worried the C won’t get leverage and will just have to take the shade where he wants to go.
