Coaches,

We've had a lot of problems with LBs blitzing EFFECTIVELY. It is really frustrating when you guess right and send a backer right into the play and he doesn't make the play.

Does anyone have drill ideas to help make LBs more effective?

No PARTICULAR drills, but, if we blitz him INTO the play - we don't have a problem if he comes under control.

If we blitz him AWAY from the play - we work on his angle to get back into the play (go back thru the LOS & take a lead angle on the BC - DON'T CHASE HIM FROM BEHIND!

"BE A PURSUER, NOT A CHASER".
