Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
I have read many posts here and am a little confuse on what backers the uncovered man will work towards in inside zone.
In a 4-3 defense, with 9,3 strongside and 1 and 5 backside. When would you combo the tackle with the TE and when sith the guard. If he combos with the guard is he working to the stud backer or the middle backer.
Do you have a general rule of where lineman will work if uncovered on both levels. IE towards a stack playside or towards a sack backside. for example what would your blocking assignments be if you had 2 techniques on guards 5 weak and 7 strong with backers stacked behind the 2 techniques and ss outside the 7 technique and olb outside the 5 technique.

Coach depending upon if you use a tight end or not dictates the angle at which the push will occur. Another thing to consider is this and the most important with 6 defenders in the box the more vertical the push can go, with 7 defenders the more the anle of the push and tracking takes place, the more defenders in the box the great the angle at which the offensive line will take their assigned blocking assignments.
