We have been a passing team out of the 2X2 gun spread look in the past. This year with a quick and athletic QB we are adding zone read and the option with the slot. The QB is fine with the read on the end and the option, the major problem right now is the slot is having problem getting into proper pitch phase with the QB when we option the OLB. Does anyone out there have proper slot alignment and most inportantly the steps the slot has to take to get in proper pitch phase and get up to full speed as quick as possible? Thanks in advance
