This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
How would you block for bounce against an over front running to the tight end side. I know that you want to draw the linebackers inside then have the back take it outside. would the line use slow rotating blocking?
We block it just like the inside zone play. The only difference is that the end man on the LOS shoots through the outside number of the DE and then works his butt outside. If you lateral step, you're advertising to the DE that you are going outside and you won't have a chance.
When we ran this play we load blocked it with the FB responsible for the 9 tech. We also blocked it with the TE reaching the 9. We never had great success with it, so we stopped running it.
