Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
Please provide me with coaching points when attacking this defense with the run or pass. We are a zone 1 back team. Trips, trips w/ TE, 2*2 with TE (we call ace). Also, we run an unbalanced look.
2x2 with TWO TIGHT ENDS. Run OUTSIDE ZONE/POWER/COUNTER. NOTE: POWER & COUNTER with RB taking the same JAB STEP opposite the POA has an effect in "misdirecting" the 3 stacked LBers!
Cannot explain plays further via email (too much detail required) but if you wish, you may phone me up till 10 PM/EDT tonight at 804-740-4479
If you ask many odd stack, 3-5-3, 3-3-5, 30 defense coaches what they dread, it would be three-back, double tight end formations. This forces them to either check to another front (if they're not stubborn and truly want to win). If they don't, please do yourself a favor and run off-tackle with both backs leading. You have a numbers advantage there and you will be able to block everyone. If you run the triple option, Email me as I have some ideas that I learned from the Navy coaching staff. Good luck.
