Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
I am still a young d-line coach and I have two seinors who played defensive line for me this season that would like to play college ball. One has a 2.9 GPA and scored 23 on his ACT the other's GPA and ACT score are higher. Also they are coachable, good kids, and good players and I think they could play D-II or NAIA. Our head coach is busy guy so I want to help him and them...beside sending out film what can I do help them get some looks?
Coach, I am the recruiting coordinator/linebacker coach/special teams coordinator at Lackawanna College in Scranton, PA. We are a junior college. Email me at CellaFBall@aol.com and I may be able to assist you. Give me details about your location and these two young men. Thanks.

Coach,
This is Coach Farrell from Abilene Christian University. The best thing to do when you have palyers you feel that can go on and play college ball is to have some kind of database where you input all their numbers (player's name, number and address, school name, number and address, coach's name and number, height, weight, position, any stats, 40 times, weight lifts, awards, honors, GPA and SAT/ACT are important, and stuff like that). If you create a datat base then all you have to do is punch in the numbers for all other players you might have in the future. If you have a sheet of paper that you can send out and a college coach can look at that stuff, then he has a good shot of getting a call. Also, it would be good to have game tapes ready to send out or a highlight tape. It is all about getting your players out there. All the info you can get is more helpful. One school may not need those two guys, but there may be a school that is looking just for those two guys. Good luck to them and if you have any more questions feel free to email at cjf01b@acu.edu. Thanks Coach.

TO ALL COACHES WHO ARE IN THE SAME BOAT AS THE ONE WHO POSTED THIS QUESTION:
The coach just gave you the straight and best information you can receive. The name of the game is getting exposure for your athletes who you think can play. The ways he mention of getting the job done is exactly how you do it! One thing I would not do anymore is to tell anyone that you think your prospects are limited to NAIA or Div.lll as that imediately turns off a lot of guys who are looking for players at the higher levels of college ball. I think that cultivating a personal rapport with the scouts who recruit your area at any level of college ball is always a sound investment for your players, PROVIDED YOU ARE NOT A SUCK UP OR ONE WHO BLOWS A KIDS ABILITIES ALL OUT OF PROPORTION. We would just break out the film, tell the scouts here is the boy and here is the film room. You make your own decision. If we can answer any questions you may have, my office door is open.

This information will really help me going into the next season and even further down the road. Also I was actually contacted by coach off the board that read the message and it might lead to a scholarship to a school that could be a good fit for one of our players.

Coach,
I have coached at every level of college football and I speak across the country doing recruiting seminars for parents. Do not go to a recruiting service. Get together a 1pg resume with all your kid's vitals and send a DVD with 5-10 highlight clips first then put two complete games on the tape that you think were his best and follow up with a phone call to the head coach. Hope that helps....be proactive..call em!
Always great to have an experienced coach join us here on the forum! Always like to know where you have coached in the college ranks, do you coach at any college now, do you consider yourself a QB coach? Always glad to have a fellow QB coach on board! Welcome to our forum and look forward to your first contribution as a poster.
