Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
Coaches, Could you tell a young aspiring coach why teams are going to the gun option? Why are teams derailing from the traditional I 2 back schemes to the one back gun. What does it force teams to defend? I just want to know the WHY aspect of the gun pkge.

The gun package gives you more of a running threat due to the option read on the backside of any given play. The gun option was made most famous by Northwestern and numerous other schools. The gun option due to the fact teams must be consciuos of the outside perimeter threat can make for a softer inside and limit coverages besides. Coach CAmpbell
Greetings from Norman. I'm really looking forward to getting the gun manual! You've mentioned Northwestern in that connection from time-to-time on the message board. I believe you've even said at least part of your own offense was inspired by Northwestern. Is that so? And, could you elaborate a little on what Northwestern does? Thanks, Steve
