Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
We are in the process of writing a Player Manual. Something that covers everything we expect from our players. We ae looking for copies of similar manuals to get some ideas. Any help is appreciated.
Coach:
We pass out a "Parent/Player Handbook" every year that might have some of the stuff you're looking for. Pass along your e-mail address and I can send you a copy.

Expectations vary from coach to coach - but the legendary Bear Bryant always said that "EVERYTHING starts with ALWAYS BEING ON TIME". ALL discipline BEGINS with getting the players to be "on time". If you cannot get your players there "on time" - nothing else can be accomplished! This was always the FIRST EXPECTATION we listed!
TEAM DISCIPLINE and PERSONAL DISCIPLINE always go hand and hand in my book! Discipline starts with the individual, not the team. In order to make a succcessful transisition from one's personal disciplines, to a set order of team disciplines, THE INDIVIDUAL MUST BE WELL ESTABLISHED IN HIS OWN RIGHT FIRST. He will not succeed if he does not have self-discipline first!!! This is where I feel the parental guidance is sadly lacking in todays society in this country. It is said that 75% of a childs ingrained living habits for life are already established by the time he or she is 6 years of age! Can you imagine what an awesome responsibility we have as parents to get our kids off on the right foot??? Being ex-military I was taught the strictest of self and team oriented discipline at an early age. When your buddy's life depends upon you being disciplined to the point where his life is more important than yours, you had better have learned your lessons well in this area. Please be sure an include a good segment on this topic in your manual.
Just a suggestion as always.

Have VERY FEW RULES, but be sure you can ENFORCE them.
NEVER make a rule you CAN'T enforce!
In any manual or contract you write - REMEMBER: DON’T RELAX DISCIPLINE – IT PRECEDES MORALE! (DISCIPLINE STARTS WITH ALWAYS BEING ON TIME)! REMEMBER – TEAM RIGHTS ALWAYS SUPERCEDE INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS!!!!!
