Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
This will be my third year as head coach of a program that has not won a game in 58 games. The last two years I have run the double wing due to lack of overall talent on the team, especially at QB. This year, I will have a junior QB coming out who didn't play previously. My question is this: My QB is very intelligent, decent feet, not very fast, and has a decent arm. He is 6'1 and 180 lbs. I will also have a FB who is around 210 lbs. and a decent couple of tailbacks. All things being said, my offensive line is undersized and undertalented. What scheme would you suggest to run on offense? I like the option, but I have been told my QB is not real keen on the amount of contact he would experience. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I've never seen him play yet. He played when he was in middle school, but he ran cross country his freshman and sophomore years. I haven't had a chance to talk personally with him yet, I'm just trying to get a feel for what other coaches might do with these types of personnel.
