I don't know if having a Master's is an advantage in coaching. I know more and more in Texas administrators are looking for AD's that have there masters.

One advantage is that usually you make $1000 or so more on your teaching salary for a master's. I finished mine after my 2nd year of coaching. That is $15000 in my pocket. It has more than paid for itself.

It's your work ethic and desire to be the best at what you do that will set you apart...not your master's degree. I have a master's degree, and although it has allowed me to earn a bit more, it certainly has not proven to be a crucial part of my professional advancement. Do a good job coaching...be the best at what you do...go above what is expected...force those around you to raise their level of production based on your effort...that is what sets you apart...I know someone said "there are plenty of educated fools"...don't be one of them. pdow
