Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
I spent about 6 hours talking to and listening to Wes Elrod of Cumberland University, TN. He was in the Cincinnati area at the Glazier Clinic. He was FANTASTIC.
He is BIG into the Rocket and Jett Sweep and ANYTHING associated with it: belly, trap, counter, etc.
Coach
Wes is like a father to me. His has been a big inspiration on our offense and program. He is extremely successful with the jets and rockets and him and Herschel moore are responsible for revolutinizing it. You can learn a great deal from him. If you ever have questions or looking for info on his offense just ask. I flew him in for a private clinic and we have been close ever since. We have been running it now for 2years. Here was this years results:
1 rusher at 1,025yds 19 TDS
another rusher at 850 yds and 12TDs
We had 2287 yds of total offense and that was throwing the ball only 4 times a game.
We played the number one team in the state and no one up to that point had rushed for over 100yds and scored more than seven points. We played them and I had one rusher who went 15-127yds. My FB had 17-78yds and my other wing had 32 yds. My QB was 3-4 72yds. We had zero T/O. Yes we lost. However, we did not even belong on the same field with them. We lost 30-14. We finished with well over 100yds rushiing. It was because of Wes' offense. It does work with or with out talent and it is a lot of fun. If you are interested in running this offense let me know. KRogerson@hvc.rr.com is my email. It also has a great passing game and option. We did not throw a lot because my QB stunk. He was a good leader and made great fakes, but could not throw except for easy play action passes and screens. The screens in this offense are deadly. We had no business competing with any one, but we were in every game this year and managed to win four of them.
We are very excited about this year coming up. We have much better talent.

I was at the clinic too, I could have listen to him 6 more hours that weekend. He was great, I can't wait to add what he talked about into our offense this year.
Looking forward talking to him again.

Coach Elrod was just as great in Alantic city/Cherry Hill this year. I sat through all his classes and he did a great job. His presentation and availablity at all times makes him that much better. If you ever need anything or have a question, etc. just give him a call or email. The Bull and Bear stuff is a great addition as well. Great to hear you have sen him speak. I have his books and videos and they are great too.
Coach
I attended the Atlantic city Clinic as well. I was the coach in front with my staff that he referred everyone to for information on how to run this offense. He and I have a father to son relationship. We are going to Nashville to see him and Coach Moore. He was very nervous about how the coaches would receive him in the North Clinic. I let him know about the positive responses he has been getting from those coaches on this website at my email and home phone. I will relay your response as well.
Take Care

It's funny because being in Cincinnati, teams are going away from the Wing-T. Not too many teams run the Wing T or a "hybrid" of it. Many teams are running inside/outside zone and/or in the spread offense.
You can tell him this Cincinnati Coach has employed many of his ideas into his offense. Thanks Coach.
