I dont have experience with the pistol but I was just thinking yesterday about how midline could work great from the pistol. I am interested to see the replies on this topic.

I would also be interested in some playaction passes out of the pistol. We are a spread team which will only have one true running back type so we are thinking the pistol would be a good try. I saw a clip of veer from what looked like one back shotgun, but I was wondering if anyone has done it from the gun. I also saw the same team running midline. I hope someone responds.

The Pistol formation with the QB 2 1/2 yards off the ball is excellent because of the down hill ride you get. The midline from the pistol uses opposite footwork then when under the center. Coach CAmpbell
