Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
Looking to see what option people do for special two point plays. Doesn't necessarily have to be an option in fact something completely away from what you do might be more effective. Anything that anyone likes would be appreciated.
In regard to your "Sprint Pass" do you have the QB do a 3 step on that or a 1/2 roll or just raise up and throw it?
Also, who do you have him read the cb or flats defender?
We reduce the split of the WR (creating a "mini bunch" with the RHB). The LHB motions across and runs into the flat. The WR runs a whip route. The QB progression is flat to whip. The QB rolls and attacks the edge of the defense. Technically, he has a run/pass option, but we have never had to use the run option. We have had a lot of success with that play in 2-point situations.
Coach Cella,
How do you block your OSV on the goalline? Up front and on the perimeter. Do you run the option at Lackawanna?
