Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
Coach, we have had 2 linemen graduate and 3 move out of the district, in a school that only graduates about 15-20 boys, we are at a huge disadvantage, it leaves me with 1 senior lineman and 1 sophomore lineman and a bunch of athletic kids tipping the scales @ 160 lbs. We have been running the 3-5 for a few years, but I really don't have 3 linemen. Any suggestions? The senior lineman I have has actually been a Mike backer/O-guard for the last 2 years but I don't see any way around playing him down.
Your in a bind sure enough! I don't know what class school your in, but it seems to me that you had better spend your Summer trying to convert some of the better athletes who are VERY QUICK, TO THOSE LINE SPOTS. Your probably faced with very low player numbers as well, right? I would be working my butt off right now, DON'T DELAY, and beat the bushes for ANY OVER LOOKED PLAYERS WALKING THE HALLS, LIVING IN THE COMMUNITY, OR PERHAPS HAVE JUST MOVED INTO YOUR DISTRICT! Without a line, your dead in the water. Don't over look any player on your squad, try them all at the spots you need. You will be surprised how many times giving a kid a shot at a different spot makes a big difference! It would appear that size can't be a major issue so you will have to rely on what talent you can dredge up! Best of luck and let us know whow you are progressing.
