As I stated in previous posts I am just getting started in coaching at the high school level. I am very excited & believe I can take this along way. I have a lot to learn so I hope you guys don't mind if I ask what may seem like very simple questions for the rest of you. I am like a sponge right now & I am absorbing every thing. I never played football in high school but have been an avid fan for a long time. It just took me a while to get the courage up to get started. I someday hope to make this my occupation. Not just a hobbie. I have talked to several coaches on-line & many feel it will be nearly impossible for me to reach the college or pro level because I never played. Well, I tend to be thick headed & have to be proved wrong. I feel I have the passion & the work ethic to make it work. I just need to surround myself with the right types of influences. I hope to get to know a most of you & you accept me as part of your prestigious community. I use AIM & ICQ if anyone wishes to chat online in real time occassionally or feel free to e-mail me.

Doomsday - we all had to start somewhere and this discussion board will help you in many ways as far as learning the game.. Remember this, always keep an open mind and don't force square pegs in round holes. Always look to find the best way kinds can find success, don't force things on them that they can't do. Coach Campbell, that seems like sound advise. I here coach's talk alot (not personally... on espn) that they don't like a specific player because he doesn't fit their system. In my humble & inexperienced opinion I think it is the duty of the coach to make the system fit the players.

Doomsday that is correct try and fit kids to situations that they can handle, elvaluate their talent and give them thinkgs they can do best. More is not necessarily the way to go, its not how much offense you have but how successful you are with the plays that you do run. Find 5 or 6 plays and run them from multiple formations with motion and master those. Coach CAmpbell
