Using playstation for teaching?

Here's an idea I was kicking around. There's a chance I could be working with freshman this year. What do you think of using games like Madden2003 as a fun sort of way to teach. It has many various plays & you can even create your own plays. I was thinking of maybe having the kids come over & compete in a madden tournament & compete against each other. I figure this will be both fun & learning for them. It allows them the chance to be creative & see in animation the way things are suppose to work. Plus it gives me an excuse to be a big kid myself....I confess I love the game
