Blackfly, I just applied for a job as a regional scout with the Edmonton Eskimos. It wouldn't change my residence; it would just be a supplement to what I already do. Where in Canada are you again? Let me know.

I just applied for the HC job there!!! If I get it I certainly will put you on as at least a team manager as with that big frame of yours I know you can carry a whole lot of water to the sidelines!!! Hehehe just kidding! This is our 11 or 12th day with 100 degree temperatures and I think it is frying my brain!!! My doctors tell me to stay out of tihs kind of heat and I'm about to go stir crazy!!! After about being washed away this spring with the heavy rains, we haven't had hardly a drop in two months!!! In all seriousness, it will be great if you get the scouting job as you can locate talent for your college at the same time. I had a JUCO player from Canada one year who worked for me on my ranch in California. He was a big corn fed farm boy and wsa he ever strong! When I had no work for him, I rented him out as a fork lift!!!

I'm essentially across the river from Detroit - although I played my college ball out in the Canada West Conference including Alberta, BC, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Edmonton was one of our stops.
I actually had a few team-mates who went on to play for the Eskimos - they have a GREAT tradition. The DL coach I played for was a LEGEND in Edmonton - James "Quick" Parker
