Just wondering what anyone does in terms of linebacker keys. Do you read linemen, backs, flow, or what? Spurs, Mike, Sam, and Will. Right now I have the spurs and outside backers reading the last man on the LOS through to the nearest or deepest back. Mike keys fullback through the QB. Would love to hear ANY ideas. This board has been good to me, so I appreciate all help. Thanks in advance.:evil;
We teach our rob and lou (outside lbs) to read the gaurd to playside back, and we teach our mike lb to read the fullback to playside guard. Hope this helps.
I would like to hear some of your teaching progression with reading guards or the triangle. How are you teaching your LB to do this? What do they do vs. guard movements? How do you teach the difference between a scoop and a down block. How do you teach the lbs to read the traingle? etc. I have always read the RB to guards and am thinking of reading guards primarily. I am wanting to develop some set rules to teach my lb with. Thanks for the help.
