Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
While in the 33 stack and playing against a wing t formation, who do you have covering the te in cover 1 (man2man). We have our spur covering the te and i think it is to difficult for him to do both run and pass coverage. Any thoughts on this matter. thanks!
I agree with Ack27, we run the wing t and also the stack (we get to see it every day). The other thing that I do to confuse the O line is a "walk up" call. That is our linebacker walks up like in the 46, he now has C gap and the tight end if he goes out for a pass. It helps if they screen to the tight end and it gives him help over the top from the FS. Warning though, we had a wing t team run motion and then a post/wheel route. That was tough to defend. Now we collision the guy in motion.
Something else to think about, our rule is the outside pass rusher has the back on swing out. Because of the amount of stunts and schemes this rule has been simple for the guys to pick up on.
